What is UDS?

Uniform Data System or UDS collects standardized information from Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) grantees and programs including; Community Health Centers, Migrant/Farm Worker Health Centers, Health Care for the Homeless Centers and Public Housing Primary Care Centers.

Since 1996, UDS has collected data that includes the number of patents served and their socio-demographic characteristics, types and quantities of service provided, types of staff who provide these services, quality of care provided to patients, cost and efficiency of service delivery, and sources and amounts of income. Collected data documents the effectiveness of the BPHC programs, guides BPHC support decisions and directs program development and improvement at the grantee level.
