Family Practice Physician                                040408-1

Description

Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in southeastern Oklahoma has an opportunity for a Family Practice Physician, preferably with OB experience.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (M.D), or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree, with Oklahoma licensure. 

Community

Idabel, in scenic southeast Oklahoma, is located near three large lakes, a national forest, and home to plenty of outdoor recreation, including hunting, fishing, camping, boating, hiking, and ATV recreation.

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner                                  013008-2

Description

Full and part time positions available. Pediatric Program serving the Midwest City/Del City area - a small, busy, growing pediatric clinic. General pediatrics: well child exams, sick care. Reports to Pediatric Clinic Manager.  Flexible work hours. Salary commensurate with experience. Great staff and place to work!

Qualifications

A registered nurse licensed in the state of Oklahoma with formal pediatric nurse practitioner educational program, or family nurse practitioner program with education in pediatrics. Certified by a national certification body in the respective field. Recognized as a nurse practitioner in the state of Oklahoma. Previous clinic experience preferred. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Full time position willing to eventually take on leadership and some administrative responsibilities for the clinic and program at this site.

Position Title

LPNs                                                                                          013008-4

Description

Two full time positions; one serving our Pediatric Program and one serving our Women's Health Program, both in OKC. Community based, outpatient clinics providing prenatal, family planning and child health care. Assists Physicians, ARNPs or RN with examination of patients. Collects physical assessment data and obtain vital signs. Completes requisitions and documentation for lab testing. Obtains specimen from client for laboratory tests. Initiates patient referral to appropriate team member or other community resources. Explains procedures to clients and family and teaches health promotion information. Administers immunizations. Assists with clerical duties when needed.  Flexible work hours. Salary commensurate with experience. Great place to work!

Qualifications

Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as approved by the Oklahoma State Board of Nurse Registration and Nursing Education practical nursing. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Previous clinic experience preferred..

Position Title

Medical Doctor                                                                  092107-2

Description

Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC)  has opening for Physician.  The Physicians is a member of the interdisciplinary team of health team and works in collaboration with the Medical Director/Clinical Director, and the physician team, as well as supervising advance practice providers who provide primary care.  The Physician provides advance practice providers with consultation as needed, provides primary care for clients in collaboration with other physician.  The Physician also teaches health professions, students, and residents. All FQHCs are covered for malpractice insurance under the Federal Tort Claims Act. 

Qualifications

Graduate of formal accredited medical or osteopathic school.  Must be licensed by Oklahoma State Board of Licensure of Supervision.  Has completed residency in primary care/internal medicine.  Experience in ambulatory care settings, and preferred experience in teaching program.  Interest and/or experience in collaboration with interdisciplinary health teams.

Physician Assistant                                           092107-3

Description

Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC)  has opening for Physician Assistant. The PA is an integral member of the provider team, and provides direct medical services to patients.    

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited training program for physician assistants.  Certified by the state of Oklahoma to practice as a Physician Assistant.  Eligible for medical malpractice insurance.  Physical and mental capability to perform the responsibilities of the position.  Maintains current continuing CME requirements and other credentialing and privileging.

Position Title

Development/Administrative Assistant          040408-4

Description

Full time position under the administrative oversight of the Chief Development Officer, the Development/Administrative Assistant is primarily responsible for providing support for the Chief Development Officer, Board of Directors, and CEO.  Must share a commitment to the mission of Variety Health Center.  Will provide administrative support to the Development Program, including donor database management; schedule and arrange development, Board, and committee meetings; and assist in the development and creation of development publications and marketing materials, maintenance of the agency website, and special events planning and implementation.  The Development/Administrative Assistant will record minutes at board meetings, perform administrative and clerical duties, and assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred college degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.  Also must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.  Must be organized and able to set priorities and meet deadlines.  Must have the ability to exercise administrative judgment in all responsibilities.  Attributes:  honesty, integrity, team player, detail oriented, self-starter, takes direction well, ability to work independently, and flexible and adaptable.

Outreach Worker                                                          013008-1

Description

Full time. Women’s Health Program near downtown OKC. Position provides telephone, written communication and home visits to patients. Contacts patients as reminders of appointments. Assists with reception and translation as needed. Canvasses homes with program information. Represents agency at community health fairs and community outreach meetings. Prepares regular reports of outreach activities.  Flexible hours. Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) ability required. Must have daily usage of legally registered and insured motor vehicle. Basic knowledge of geographic area in which services are provided. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Previous clinic experience preferred. Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Position Title

Medical Records Clerk                                        013008-3

Description

Full time position. Pediatric Program serving OKC. Works with other team members to facilitate smooth, efficient client flow through the clinic. Pulls charts and distributes for sick patient telephone calls and clinic visits. Copies, distributes and files faxes and medical reports. Organizes and archives charts. Answers clinic telephone calls and provides patient translation services, as back-up. Salary commensurate with experience. Full array of excellent benefits. Great staff and place to work!

Qualifications

High school graduate or GED required.  English/Spanish bilingual skills required.  Able to file alphabetically.  Prior experience with filing systems preferred.  Prior experience in medical setting preferred.
